Filling your home with Smart Plugs and Bulbs is cheaper thanks to Prime Day

Filling your home with ‘smart’ products can be an expensive proposition once you’ve got smart bulbs in all of your lamps and smart plugs in all of your sockets. For today only, as part of Prime Day 2017, both of these things are reduced, with the TP-Link HS100 Smart Plugs 35% off.

You control your smart devices using third party apps like If This Then That, if you want to use different providers, like for example Philips Hue bulbs. Both the HS100 and the TP-Link Smart Bulbs play nicely with Amazon's Alexa-powered devices and Google Home, meaning you can turn off lights and devices in the other room with just your voice.

Once you're all set up you can control and monitor your devices even when away from your home, and even turn your lights on and off while you’re on holiday to make it look like your house is still occupied.

For today, you can get your hands on the TP-Link HS100 for £16.19, 35% off its usual price.

TP-Link smart bulbs are also reduced today, so you can kit out all your fixtures with dimmable, voice controllable bulbs for 30% cheaper than RRP.

As with all of the Prime Day deals, you do need to be signed up to Amazon Prime to get the discounts. Don't worry if you're not, you can sign up for a free trial and that works just as well.
